CENTIBILLIONAIRES (What is it?)

Money is a legal tender for transaction, it had been in use for thousands of years. While many people are struggling with limited amount of money, few people have it abundance or sometimes excess.

There are individuals have so much money that it can be quantified in millions of dollars, amazing right? Well it is and for years it was like that until when humans started having so much wealth that a new word had to created in the year 1844 called; "Billionaire". 

These set of people were earning what was worth more than hundreds of millions and what multi millionaires. These for ever changed our world. Fifty years later, a new word had to be created to accommodate a new and higher set of billionaires emerging, which is "multi billionaire". Notable among the multi billionaires are; John D. Rockefeller, Dangote, Donald Trump, Femi Otedola, Dantata and a host of others.

Now, to blow your mind and release the cat out the bag, wealth has been increasing rapidly that in the year 2020, when most people were struggling with financial issues and COVID-19, the language scholars were struggling to find a new word to describe the new set of billionaires. They finally came up with the word, "centi-billionnaires".

Let me make it clear, the billions I am talking of is in Dollars and not in naira. A multi-billionaires money is worth a lot of billions but not yet up to a hundred billion. A multi billionaire can purchase a gulf stream jet every week for the next five years. Well, a centi billionaire can buy that every day for the next ten years.

Elon Musk, Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos are among the first centi billionaires in our world and one of them alone can afford to all the medical bills of every Nigerian while being able to pay a million naira to every Nigerian worker for the next ten years.

You might think it's unfair that while many people are becoming poorer on a daily basis, there are few individuals getting money that they cannot consume. But on a more insightful perspective, you'll understand that they let the system work for them.

Shockingly in years to come, if economic policies don't change, we'll have billions of poor people living on earth while we'll have TRILLIONAIRES.
